PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, LOVE THAT CROSS: MOB CONFORMITY

Add caption

From John Collins Ministries:

"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:11-12 (NKJV).

There is a day that is on the way and the devil knows it. His days have been numbered and he fights against it. Do not be naïve to the evil influence in this world nor to the wickedness that grows more pervasive with each season.

There has been an ever growing demand for conformity to believe as the mob movements want you to believe. Gather enough people and say what you believe often enough and it becomes truth for those who look to society to gauge the ‘right’ way to think and behave. Ah, but you must be careful, as totalitarianism can creep up on the unsuspecting and before you know it, you are trapped. You must think, act and believe as the mob says to do so or you will find yourself on the outside and cancelled. So, there are apologies demanded for centuries old realities and offences that must receive contrition and reparation for. Where does it end? If the history is erased and enough people and companies bow down and accept the demands of the mob, does it stop there? Do you really think that a shift in power would balance things out and reduce the demands? When will it become clear that the motivation of the current movement in society is not driven by righteousness and clarity but by a desire for power and control? This movement in our midst is violence driven, emotion driven and demands complete submission.

Who is determining the standard to which everything is determined as right or wrong? By whose judgement and standards are the views and agendas being based? The only righteous judge is God and His Son. These mobs in our midst that are demanding reparations, demanding the removal of our history and demanding that the people of this land agree with them or be damned are not doing so because they are standing in a place of righteousness. They are being propelled forward by the enemy of God and Jesus. They are being influenced by the devil whose time draws near.

When a person or group of people demand that their beliefs be accepted as truth and that their way to do things must not meet any opposition or those who oppose them will have to face consequences, then those who must accept their will are without choice and are no longer free. When free speech and opposing views are no longer tolerated, you are now at the mercy of totalitarianism and are at risk of losing all.

Do not be swayed by gilded tongues and clever words. The devil has many tricks to make you stumble. Your standard should always be the truth of God. Your beliefs and your conduct should always be measured by His word. How do you navigate this reality of negativity, demands for cancelling our history and erasing our past while the mob has a new expectation of apology if they are offended? Conciliation is for the weak and we know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

I will say this clearly that the mobs that have taken over and demanded eradication of our history are driven by the devil. The movement to force name changing and brand removal due to offense is not about offense at all but is a demand for and a show of power moving towards a very real denial of freedom of speech and all other freedoms will follow and fall. This is not about race, this is not about offense, it is about power and it is using race to get to the place that it wants to be. It is about demanding conformity to their will and this movement is wicked and evil. Remember who the true judge of this world is and choose who you will submit to.

“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.” Revelation 20:11-12 (NKJV).

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES DAILY THOUGHTS: ARE YOU SATISFIED?

From John Collins Ministries:

“Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:6-10 (NKJV).

Do you dream of a new car, a bigger home, a better wardrobe, fine jewelry, a boat, or that special addition to your collection? Are you satisfied with your looks or do you need your hair done, nails done, waxing, lifting, sculpting, tucking or just some good work-out time? Are you in need of a vacation, down-time, family time, you-time and just a great round of golf?

Do you waste food, water, time, effort? Are you happy? Do you even think about your eternal soul? Do you care?

Most people today are not satisfied with their lives. They are complainers and they are planners. They have goals to meet and most of them end with a material benefit to themselves. People want to win the lottery and to have no financial worries. And people sure are proud of the ‘stuff’ that they accumulate in their lives whether it is their clothes and accessories or their homes and cars and toys, they love to take pictures and to show it all off.

No matter how much you gain financially in this world you cannot take anything with you when you die. People can tell themselves whatever they need to in order to justify their obsession with finances and material things but the truth is that we can all live with less and all learn to be content with what we have and with what we don’t have. It does not take a fancy house, a fancy car or money to make anyone happy or worry free; that is a lie that many believe.

True wealth comes from above and few are they who can claim it. To have real riches is to know that Jesus died for you and that through submission to Him and obedience to Him is to have a home in the kingdom of God.

“But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.” 1 Timothy 6:11 (NKJV)

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES DAILY THOUGHTS: CHOOSE LIFE!

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: 5 MINUTES, ALL I NEED

Pastor John Collins, John Collins Ministries evangelist  is reaching out in his passion for truth and salvation.  He gives us a no nonsense and to the point call to examine our hearts, as Christians,  and how we approach the political correctness that we face in sitting on the fence with our faith and how we view evil in today's world.  He calls it like it is.  We need to get to know our God, up close and personal.

LIVE!!

God judges us on those actions, and our actions alone are what determine where we will be spending the rest of our life, after this one is gone.  Decide what is important to you.

Life-the choice

From John Collins Ministries:

“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV).

“The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell below.” Proverbs 15:24 (NKJV).

There is a process to growing up, claiming adulthood and proceeding to live your life. There are choices that you make and each one of those choices determines who you are and who you will become. Those that are aware of their eternal soul and want to go to heaven learn to make those choices by determining the good will of the Lord and choosing to do His will.

You may not think that it is any big deal to tell a lie, omit the truth or to be selfish in this one small matter. You may think nothing of passing up an opportunity to be kind and compassionate just this once. You may think that work is more important than that baseball game or that home cooked meal. You may think that you can make it up to them at another time. You may think that you deserve to let loose and finally have some fun so who will it hurt if you have that fling, you deserve it. You may think that there is plenty of time in the future for you to settle down and be boring and do what the Lord expects of you but He knows your motives and intentions and all of those things will be taken into account.

Each day you will make choices that will lead you toward righteousness or toward wickedness. Each day will determine your character and where your eternal resting place will be. Each little choice that you make adds up to the totality of your life. Choose Jesus and choose to live.

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, LOVE THAT CROSS DAILY THOUGHTS: SOCIAL MEDIA

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, LOVE THAT CROSS DAILY THOUGHTS:  Social Media

Years after Reverend David Wilkerson preached that the Internet was a distraction and a means to separate families, that television was becoming too violent for children to watch unsupervised, Pastor John Collins, of Love That Cross Ministries and John Collins Ministries, emphasizes that social media has become a means for separating families, promoting violence and bullying, and creating secrets.  The violence in Santa Fe Texas earlier this year is a symptom of the violence that children (yes teenagers are still not adults, and therefore our children), are exposed to.  The statistics now show that there are more children killed in school shootings than soldiers in combat zones in 2018, says Pastor John Collins.  The shooting in Annapolis, Maryland had the shooter’s history involved with a Twitter account. So far in 2018, there has been 199 mass shootings in the USA. When is it enough?

Pastor John Collins, evangelist, cautions that social media has been given too much control over our lives.  The amount of time that children spend on social media is detrimental to their development and to their socialization.  It separates us from our friends and our families, and children are being exposed to too much, too early.  Children are not being allowed to be children, are not being given the opportunity to grow through play, and adults are not taking the responsibility of teaching them about the Bible, God and Jesus.

Pastor John Collins cautions that social media content is provocative, negative, promotes vanity, and the medium itself takes away from the personal interactions that create relationships.  Look around the family room, if anyone is there as a family, and you will see that if someone speaks, others are engrossed in whatever is happening on a screen.  Multitasking is not the way to develop relationships.
“As convenient as the Internet is, it is necessary to remember the danger of it as well. Children need to be children, have fun and play with other children. Kids should be educated about God and Jesus Christ and should be kept close and safe and surrounded by love. Be aware of what your children are doing and be aware of the example that you are setting.” ~ Pastor John Collins

Pastor John Collins writes:

“Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.” 2 John 1:12 (NKJV).

“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.” 3 John 1:11 (NKJV).

Communication has changed with the invention of technology that supports the World Wide Web with a push of a button. People all over the world use their phones and computers to express themselves on their social media and even our advertising has changed to accommodate your preferences all determined by your browsing history. There are apps for this and apps for that. Photos and videos are uploaded by the millions each day. Over 40 billion photos and videos have been shared on Instagram since its inception. And for all of the viewing capabilities and communicating capabilities that we have there is a breakdown in basic relationships that should sadden each and every one of us. Families aren’t talking at the dinner table, children are keeping secrets from their parents and parents are living secret lives that are created via the Internet. Gossip has exploded and bullies have new platforms and the levels of violence have escalated. Crime has increased with trafficking of victims, drugs and arms.

Betrayal comes cheap and easy for too many. Social media has created the ruination of many people and has even been the impetus for the suicide of many. We have become too obsessed with the Internet and given it too much power over us.

Photographs were not invented until 1826 and the first photo uploaded to the web was in 1992. Now, kids are obsessed with selfies and videos and that is truly a problem in our society. It just makes people more aware of their looks and it creates an obsession with vanity that is anti-biblical. Children are bombarded with technology here in America and in many countries around the world. The need to feed the social frenzy is all consuming and destructive. It is too easy to get bullied by others for looks, for weight, for clothes and for any other nonsense that seems relevant for the day. Too many pictures are too provocative and children seem to be wearing less and less as their ages creep up year by year. People are devoted to their appearances and to chronicle their lives through social media. It is ridiculous and it takes away from genuine interaction and genuinely valuable relationships that should be built.

Children learn from watching their parents and they are also guided by their parents. What happens when the parents are also consumed with social media, taking photos of themselves and their lives and uploading every moment onto the web? Technology has become a weakness for people and it has become a doorway to sin. The Internet has brought sin directly into our homes and our hands and we just can’t seem to put it down. It is not only the picture and video taking, the constant commenting and obsessive watching of others and what they do and say but it is not bringing out the best in people and it is not increasing the quality of relationships with people. As convenient as the Internet is, it is necessary to remember the danger of it as well. Children need to be children, have fun and play with other children. Kids should be educated about God and Jesus Christ and should be kept close and safe and surrounded by love. Be aware of what your children are doing and be aware of the example that you are setting. Children grow up too fast as it is and we need to be proactive by preparing them to know the difference between good and evil and to teach them to choose the good. We need to protect them and protect ourselves by creating a wholesome and loving home that is safe from the outside world and influences and acknowledge the superficiality of all that can be found in the pictures, videos and words that are uploaded by the millions each and every day. Get grounded in the truth of God and hold on to that.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV).
