JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, DAILY THOUGHTS: COMPASSION

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES:  "LOVING KINDNESS"

We are not meant to walk through this life alone.  “No man is an island” is truth.  Learning to accept and receive help and kindness is a life-long long process.

Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries says “Do not let your pride deny others of their opportunity to serve God by helping you. Do not lean too heavily in either direction so that you do not become a burden nor defensive…. This is true for all aspects of our lives. We will go through situations in our lives that will bring us low and sting our pride. We will go through times of being lifted up that will challenge our egos and tempt our pride. Both sides of this coin is needed to test our faith and teach us the ways of God. We must be able to become humble. It is not worth it to hang on to your ego or to cling to your stubborn pride. Be done with it and let it go because it will never serve you well. In order to enter the kingdom of heaven we must allow God to stomp our pride in the dirt. Be willing to welcome that huge piece of humble pie” (April, 2018).

By Pastor John Collins:

“Thus says the Lord: ‘Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, excercising lovingkindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NKJV).

“Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.” Proverbs 3:3-4 (NKJV).

A kind person with a kind heart will do kind things for others. Mercy and compassion will drive a person to be considerate of others and to take the time to help others out. Thoughtfulness comes in so many different ways. It can be helping out a friend to move, getting groceries for an elderly neighbor, helping someone change a tire, giving a few dollars to the homeless or it could be taking the time to hear out your son or daughter which will give them the confidence in your relationship to learn to act with maturity and transparency.

Jesus has said that we should love one another. He gave us perfect examples for doing so. What happens when we deny another the opportunity to help us when it is our time? Our pride can stand in the way of our path to heaven. To everything there is a season and time. As we go through life, we will not always be in a position of helping others. We will come to a time or times in our lives when we should be accepting the help of others. You see, this is important in our faith. God will bring people into our lives that will further the faith of both parties. Sometimes you are the helper and sometimes you are the helped.

Each of us cannot stand alone. We were never meant to. It is a give and take in this life. We need to learn to be compassionate and kind as well as learn to be accepting of that same compassion and kindness when we need to. Our bodies are deteriorating all of the time. You cannot expect a 70 year old woman to move her household furniture by herself. She has passed the age of being able to do so. The Levites that took care of the tabernacle did so from the ages of 30-50 years. Their strength was greatest during these years and their service was limited to that time. There are seasons in all of our lives of physical strength and those seasons do pass. Do not let your pride deny others of their opportunity to serve God by helping you. Do not lean too heavily in either direction so that you do not become a burden nor defensive.

Be willing to welcome that huge piece of humble pie. Gobble it up and ask for more!

“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, DAILY DEVOTIONAL: FINDING JOY

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST:  EVERY DAY JOY

So many people believe that this world is the true hell, that we simply have to get through our day to day struggles, make it to the end of our lives, and heaven is guaranteed because we say we believe in Jesus.  Pastor John Collins of Love That Cross Ministries and Pastor John Collins Ministries reminds us that everything belongs to God, but God gave us this world, Earth, to live in, to love in, to experience life in it.  The joys and sorrows, pain and rejoicing that we feel here are all part of living.  Believing in something means to go all in, taking in the lessons that were taught by the original Teacher and making them part of our lives, not simply giving lip service and the shallow belief of occurrence but not of incorporating the action into our very hearts.  That is belief.

How do you interact with the people you come into contact with?  Do you try to impress them with what you’ve done, or do you greet them with patience, kindness, compassion, and a love of people?  How are you raising your family?  Are you interested in a hike along a river, or through a forest, walking in the rushing blue surf, or beside arid canyons with condors soaring nearby? Yes, we have things that we have to deal with as we travel our life paths.  Those are the choices we need to make, because indeed we do have free will, and our choice determines our outcome both here and for eternity, says Pastor John Collins.

“God wants you to fight the good fight. God wants you to seek to please Him and to do the right thing in life. Be charitable, be good, be kind, be forgiving, be loving and compassionate toward others. As you go about doing these things you will have to battle your own demons. We all have them. We all think of the easy path, the shortcut and the darker temptations in life and it is that battle that you must encounter each day.” Pastor John Collins, January 2018.

Pastor John Collins is an influential evangelist living in the United States today. His passionate and enthusiastic sermons will grab our hearts and show us what we need to do in order to grow closer to God and to Jesus.  Too many times churches now fluff the original message of the Holy Bible to suit the needs of the speaker, Pastor John Collins does not, he tells it like it is, whether it makes the listener uncomfortable or not.  Sometimes we need to be made uncomfortable in where we are in our faith, which is what will drive us to work to get closer to the Cross: Pastor John Collins has gone through the fire of tests and trials and will the first to tell you just where he has been.  The Gospel was taught by Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago because man was getting in the way of himself.  After the resurrection of Jesus, over the course of centuries, man has once again gotten in the way of ourselves, twisted the scriptures to suit our own needs and wants instead of turning to Jesus for everything, big and little. Now the Gospel needs to be redeemed, and Pastor John Collins is driven and determined to bring the Gospel and God back to a country that is in desperate need of faith and repentance.

Salvation is the way to fight for your eternal life, but the path is not meant to be a narrow focus-Pastor John Collins (paraphrased).

Pastor John Collins writes:

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lords’; But the earth He has given to the children of men.” Psalm 115:16 (NKJV).

God has given you life and you need to enjoy it. As you walk the path that leads to righteousness, you will face many situations that make you realize that it is a battle not just outside in the world and with those you encounter but also within yourself. God wants you to fight the good fight. God wants you to seek to please Him and to do the right thing in life. Be charitable, be good, be kind, be forgiving, be loving and compassionate toward others. As you go about doing these things you will have to battle your own demons. We all have them. We all think of the easy path, the shortcut and the darker temptations in life and it is that battle that you must encounter each day.

So, what are you fighting for? Is it just to get to heaven? That narrow focus can make a person crazy, burn out or just give up. If you cannot see that life has meaning, that you can enjoy life then it is easy to lose your way and fall off the path of the faithful. You have to take the time to live, to feel really alive and to acknowledge that your life is a blessing for all of the struggle. What makes you feel alive? Is it standing in the rain, walking on a beach, riding on a four-wheeler in your swimsuit in the middle of winter surrounded by snow, or maybe it’s a candlelight dinner with your most special someone followed by a dance? Whatever gives you pause and delights your soul is what you should take the time to do. It does not have to be often and it does not have to be so planned that the moment gets lost but you should be looking for those moments in your life that become the memories that you prize. You will take those with you because they belong to you forever.

In your day to day life you may feel run down and overwhelmed with the mundane. In your day to day life you may become discouraged. You need to allow yourself those special moments where you catch your breath and you even need to make the effort to recognize the moments that you have already had and seek out more. That is what you are fighting for in your faith. You see, heaven is full of joy and people who feel that intense awareness of love and hope and happiness every day. You will never truly seek to become a righteous person if you don’t believe in that promise and in order to truly believe in the promise you need to trust and believe in God. It is easy to believe in the truth of God when you can glimpse joy in its perfection in experiences in your life that touch your soul and become engraved on your heart. That is a blessing from God and you should never underestimate His greatness and your connection to Him.

“May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.  May you be blessed by the Lord who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 115:14-15 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS,  Pastor John Collins

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS DAILY DEVOTIONALS: TOMORROW ISN'T A GUARANTEE!

google images

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST:  Wake up and get right with God!

The saying goes “the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.” Superficially, this can mean something to the effect that if you say you are going to do it, do it. If you promise to do it, then do it, or what you say and do is meaningless. Pastor John Collins of Love That Cross Ministries and Pastor John Collins Ministries puts a more complete view on the saying:  You can have all the best intentions in the world, and even act on those intentions and do the right things for people, but if your heart isn’t focused on God and the salvation that is given by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and getting closer to Them in your heart and soul, then all the good acts and intentions that you do throughout your life are meaningless, you are not going to make it to heaven, and hell is pretty full of people who had good intentions (paraphrased, Pastor John Collins).

Don’t be lazy in your faith, or have the expectation that you can confess your sins twenty minutes before you die so you can cover your bases.  Saying that you believe in Jesus Christ and God is empty unless you have the full commitment of your heart and the opportunity to act upon that faith.  The road to salvation begins in an instant, it takes a lifetime to continue the path, work out your faith, and face the tests and challenges that build the faith that begins with accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  It isn’t just giving lip service says Pastor John Collins.

“It is time to wake up and get right with God. God doesn’t fool around and God will not cease from being God but He will continue to be that great and almighty Lord that sees everything and everyone as they truly are and He will be the one who has the last laugh. It is not okay to take your life, your actions, your words and your feelings lightly. They all matter and they all will be taken into account when it comes to judging your soul. Each person will be judged and each person will either go up or go down and it really is that simple.” (Pastor John Collins, February, 2018).

Pastor John Collins is a down to earth, no nonsense evangelist who has been spreading revival of hope and faith across the United States for more than three years.  Pastor John Collins has a very enthusiastic style of preaching, with a “tell it like it is” attitude without the sugar coating of so many in pulpits today.  As he puts it, Pastor John Collins will grab you by the britches when he preaches.  The Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ have been so twisted and altered in the past 2000 years, Pastor John Collins is determined to redeem the Gospel so that all can hear the word of Jesus as it was taught during the times of Jesus Christ’s ministry.  The fear of standing before the throne of God and being judged upon entering eternity is not being taught at all, instead prominent pastors preach prosperity through our tithes or that the Old Testament doesn’t matter, it’s been replaced by the New Testament, or if we say we were saved on December 25, 1977, we are always saved, and there is no need to seek daily forgiveness for our sins….all of this is wrong teachings of current day preachers, and one day, there will be an accounting says Pastor John Collins.

Pastor John Collins writes:

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28 (NKJV).
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Hebrews 10:31 (NKJV).

We live in dangerous times, as have all of those who ever walked this earth. It is a perilous thing to live without faith and it is more dangerous to live without belief in the Son of God than it is to live in a land filled with terrorists and civil unrest. People pay attention to what they can see and people will fear what they can sense can cause them harm but people don’t fear what they can’t see and when people walk without faith then they are blind and without the ability to perceive the danger to their souls.

It is not a time to be casual in your faith. It is time to wake up and get right with God. Each person will be judged and each person will either go up or go down and it really is that simple.

You have no guarantee of tomorrow and you only get this one chance at life so take it seriously and don’t put off until another day your relationship with God. God sent Jesus to die for you and you should be thanking Jesus for the strength and obedience that was in His soul so that your soul could be saved. You should cherish and nurture your relationship with Jesus and praise God always. Come to know what is expected of you and do that. The rules are not going to change and the gospel must be obeyed just as Jesus has said. There will not be favorites given a pass because they are just so cute or so charming. There are lots of good people in hell today and there will be many more that follow. Do what you must so that you are not one of them.

“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 14:23-24 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS DAILY DEVOTIONALS: POWER OF PRAYER

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: WHAT SHOULD WE BE PRAYING FOR?

from Google images

The best day I ever spent was in continued prayer.  It left my spirit lighter, I felt like there was accomplishment in an otherwise lackluster kind of day, and it just felt plain good.  Prayer isn’t about asking for yourself, it is part of what Jesus taught to care about others….prayer for others is what we should be doing because we should do for others what we want done for us.  There simply isn’t enough prayer, and God does want to hear from us, from our heart.  It is a relationship that those who were found to be righteous in the eyes of God had:   Abraham, Job, Enoch, Elijah, Mary, Esther, Daniel, Moses and others….all of these individuals are recorded as having a full relationship with God through prayer that pleased God.

Evil in this world is because of our free will, Pastor John Collins reminds us, just as Jesus taught during His ministry.  God gave us free will, as a good Father, He allows us to make our own choices in our lives.  He cares that much about us to allow us to choose instead of being robot-like creatures.  Evil is a product of individuals being selfish, self-serving, desiring power and recognition (Pastor John Collins, January, 2018).

“If God is so powerful, why does He allow bad things to happen? That is always a question for those who would deny that there is a God and would claim that if there was a God at all then He must not care about us and must not be all good as those who believe in His say. God gave men free will to live and choose to behave as they would have it and for that reason there will always be evil in this world. Evil is just selfish desires and power grabs manifested in this world.” Pastor John Collins, January 2018.

Pastor John Collins is an evangelist and the head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries and John Collins Ministries.  Pastor John Collins has been involved with revival of faith and hope for several years since launching a series in Wyoming.  Pastor Collins has traveled across the country, redeeming the Gospel and preaching salvation from his heart with passion.  As an evangelist, Pastor John Collins is determined to bring as many people back to God as possible, but first we need to hear the truth of the Gospel, not the watered down versions that have become the general template for most pastors on the pulpit, whether in the public eye through media or a local community style church.  Old style tent revival preaching is the trademark of Pastor John Collins, preached with humility and reverence for God and Jesus Christ.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3:19-21 (NKJV).

There is true evil in this world. We can look around and see it. Many people would like to ignore it, not be bothered by it, not have it touch their lives and just go about their business. Sometimes evil intrudes and we are shocked, hurt and want to question if there is a God at all. If God is so powerful, why does He allow bad things to happen? That is always a question for those who would deny that there is a God and would claim that if there was a God at all then He must not care about us and must not be all good as those who believe in His say. God gave men free will to live and choose to behave as they would have it and for that reason there will always be evil in this world. Evil is just selfish desires and power grabs manifested in this world. Evil is those choosing to lash out at others because of their own hurt. Evil is defiance and rebellion acted out in order to lift oneself up. Evil is petty and there will come a time when God chooses to step in and bring about further revelation to this world.

Some wait for God to act and some want to ignore the signs but while there is still yet time we should be praying for more light to shine in the darkness. Prayer is a powerful thing and God wants to hear from us, not just about our lives, our desires, our sicknesses and needs, our family and friends but about our hopes and thoughts regarding this world. Do you consider praying about those who suffer, the abused men, women and children? Do you pray for the weak? Do you pray that those who protect us are themselves protected? Do you pray that righteousness would make its way into the government? Do you pray that foreign nations would be strengthened in food and health to limit the depletion of your own country? Do you pray that revelation would come from God that would minimize the desire to blow each other up? There are people whose only desire is for more power, more money, more weapons and the opportunity to display it all for the world to see. There is evil in this world because some only care about themselves and they don’t value life or the gifts that come with it.

What so many have forgotten, failed to realize or choose to ignore is that the only true power in this world comes from God alone and all of the rest is an illusion. God is the one who has all of the strength and He really does want us to make the best choices available to us and sometimes people just don’t know what that is. Changing things in this world can start with hope and prayer. Change does need to come, more light needs to permeate the dark and more people need to wake up to the reality that things are changing and we need to change as well. We need more righteousness in this world, not more rebellion. Pray for that.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS DAILY DEVOTIONAL: FAITH IS NOT A CHECKLIST

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: ROUTINE RELIGION

from Google images

When Jesus walked and taught, He was not creating more landmines for humanity to get around.  God sent Jesus to teach and bring people back to God because, people being people, those in charge set up roadblocks and traps that prevented people from getting closer to God.  The routines of religion became the focus instead of the worship and appreciation of God.  Jesus went after the Pharisees and the Sadducees because those men set up rules that God never created.  The answers Jesus gave to these men frustrated them because His responses were righteous and they couldn’t argue with Him.  Today, the same thing has happened with the rituals of Sunday morning church and organized religion.  The practices have become routine and empty, devoid of passion for God.

“When you allow the routine of your religion to become the religion itself and you rely on going through the motions and requirements of that religion then you have been blinded and have fallen into the ditch. Faith is meant to guide you, to strengthen you and to give you the knowledge and confidence in God that allows you to live your life according to His standards. Your faith is not meant to become a routine of bullet points that you tick off in order to complete the list of obligations so that you can meet the minimum requirements that will allow you to reap the rewards without interrupting your life and your pursuit of happiness in any extreme way.” Pastor John Collins, January, 2018.

Faith is not a checklist.

Pastor John Collins writes daily thoughts and devotionals designed to explain the gospel in the way it is meant to be understood, the purpose of these messages is to educate according to the Scriptures, help grow faith in others and assist others in becoming more submissive to the will of God.  Pastor John Collins wants to encourage people to become righteous followers of Christ, not to continue the comfortable routines that have been done for so long that leaves people questioning and wondering that there should be more.

Pastor John Collins is an evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries and John Collins Ministries.  For several years, Pastor John Collins has been travelling the United States spreading the word of the Gospel and igniting revival in the faith of those who hear him.  Pastor John Collins recognizes that the Holy Bible has been manipulated to control people, to suppress populations, and to serve the leaders who present it instead of serving God who wrote it through His divine influence upon people.  The Holy Bible is meant to be a guideline for living in a righteous manner, in a way that would please God in all ways.  Pastor John Collins preaches that God is far from pleased with us and the way the world is now, and the time has come for change.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of dead, both of the just and the unjust. This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.” Acts 24:14-16 (NKJV).

Paul was speaking of the Way in which we should all live in accordance with the commandments of God and in belief of Jesus Christ as our Savior. There is truth given to men by God and we are to respond to this truth with faith and let our behavior be of righteousness in order to attain salvation upon our deaths so that we can be among the just in resurrection. The Israelites were not as clear about resurrection and heaven and hell. The afterlife was not spoken of in definitive terms but it was clear that God chose the Hebrew people to reveal His commandments and they received the oracles and Laws. Jesus made it clear that He was the way to righteousness and to heaven. Unfortunately, religion has become a stumbling block for godliness.

The Israelites were given instructions on righteous behavior and how to live their lives daily and even they stumbled over the ‘rules’ of it all. That became the basis for so much instruction in the New Testament which has led to the ‘Christians’ doing the same thing. You cannot separate your life from your faith. You cannot have religious observances and sinful living simultaneously. That is the problem that people have always had. They compartmentalize their faith and their lives. The Way is to become your way of life, your standard of living and your faith is to guide you in all that you do. Religion is a stumbling block because the doctrines of men have taken over just as the oral tradition of men took over in Judea so long ago and yet it is these traditions that are still in control of the ‘faith’ of people.

When you allow the routine of your religion to become the religion itself and you rely on going through the motions and requirements of that religion then you have been blinded and have fallen into the ditch. Faith is meant to guide you, to strengthen you and to give you the knowledge and confidence in God that allows you to live your life according to His standards. Your faith is not meant to become a routine of bullet points that you tick off in order to complete the list of obligations so that you can meet the minimum requirements that will allow you to reap the rewards without interrupting your life and your pursuit of happiness in any extreme way.

Your faith in Jesus is meant to give you hope and the courage to live your life as His servant. As His disciple you are meant to follow His example always not when it is convenient. Those who follow Christ will experience unpleasantness and will stand out in this life because as the world hated Him it will indeed hate you. Let the love of the Lord seep into you and flow through you and you will live a life that shines for Jesus and you will reap the rewards that are promised by God. Do not allow your ‘religion’ to be routine, compartmentalized or stagnant. Trust that the way you live your life will determine whether your resurrection is of the just or the unjust and both will be judged.

“Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?’Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:5-6 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

Jesus taught His listeners and disciples to not use vain repetitions or draw attention to themselves in prayer, not to let worship to become ritual-knowing full well that is what the Hebrew priests, Pharisees and Sadducees had led the Hebrews to, drawing them away from God and more to themselves and the actions rather than the righteous of God’s commandments. Here we are, 2000 years later with people in the pulpit doing the very same thing that Jesus taught not to do.

Pastor John Collins is redeeming the Gospel and the Scriptures.  On Sunday mornings at 1000 a.m. Mountain Time, you can listen to Pastor John Collins and Marty Smith on Heaven’s Country Radio by linking to www.heavenscountry.com.  Other sermons, radio recordings, interviews, blogs, and Youtube and media of Pastor John Collins can be viewed by clicking on the links found within this post.  Pastor John Collins can also be reached at jc65777@yahoo.com for prayer, ministering, or to discuss the possibility of guest speaking, preaching or revival at your group, church, or gathering.  Pastor John Collins very passionately puts it he is in it to win it for God.  Believe that!

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS DAILY DEVOTIONALS: SALVATION FOR HER? NO WAY!

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: WHO'S TIME IS IT ON, ANYWAY?

Who are we to look at someone and think “no way” when it comes to salvation?  Is it up to us to know what plans God has for anyone?  We are quick to look at the mom of four who has an abusive drunk husband and wonder “why does she stay with him”? We go to church and look at those who come in and wonder how could someone dress “like that” and come into church? Pastor John Collins, Love That Cross and John Collins Ministries reminds us God has a plan for each and every one of us, it’s His love that patiently waits for us to find the end of ourselves and turn to Him and His Son Jesus Christ.  It is not our place to decide who is and isn’t worth the time to wait that it takes to get to that point as individuals.

Self-righteousness and rejection of others just because they aren’t where you think they are supposed to be or judging them on actions of the past or mistakes of the present isn’t healthy to our own salvation, and resentment can easily set in to judge someone not worth the time.  Thing is, it isn’t our place, this is God’s world and His time.  Maybe that person has some lessons that need to be learned from those failures in order to become the best Christian possible or to carry out whatever it is that God has planned for them.

“God has His time for everything and there are many people who find themselves either offended by His long-suffering or dismissive of His current interest in the affairs of man. No matter what period of time a person lives on this earth, God is interested. No matter how far you may think that God is, He is right here. No matter how bad you think others are or how bad you think that this world has become, salvation is available and you can be sure that the Son of God is working hard every day to bring about revival and the saving of souls.” Pastor John Collins, Love That Cross Ministries (March, 2018).

Pastor John Collins, evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries and John Collins Ministries is leading a revival of faith and hope across the United States and around the world.  God is here and is present and knows exactly what the condition of the world is, and Pastor John Collins is determined to bring God back to churches, families, and society through that revival of faith and hope that is needed badly, now.  With so many pastors preaching false doctrines and looking for their own validation on the pulpit, congregations have become complacent to the condition of their souls, and accept the watered down Gospel that is being presented to them to keep them coming back to pews and filling collections plates.  The Gospel isn’t about how much money you make, it isn’t about what God will give you if you ask Him for it, and it isn’t about whether you wear church clothes.

The Gospel is about finding the salvation that has been willingly given by Jesus Christ in His obedience to becoming our sacrifice for our sins, and Pastor John Collins is committed to redeeming that Gospel for God, to bring as many people to the foot of the Cross as will hear him and what he preaches.  Jesus Christ did not judge those who became His friends and apostles by the way they were, the way they acted, or the skills they had.  He allowed them to listen and learn the Gospel and the ways and desires of God.  Pastor John Collins brings that same Gospel back without the trappings of theater and dramatics that are so popular, leaving the souls of people empty, searching and helpless, unable to see that what they are doing is the same as what they judge others doing.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“But the Lord said, ‘You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left-and much livestock?” Jonah 4:10-11 (NKJV).

Jonah was very angry when God took away the plant that God Himself had provided as shade for Jonah outside of Nineveh and was also so very angry that God had offered salvation to the people of the city. Jonah knew that they were evil people and was offended at the thought of those people being spared? Nineveh was eventually destroyed but not until the time that God had chosen for the fulfillment of prophecy.

It is very easy to look upon another and judge them not worthy of mercy and salvation because of past or present deeds. It is very easy to become self-righteous in your heart and scornful of others and it is just as easy to deny that any of those feelings exist within you. God does know His own children and He does have His plan that will unfold and it is obvious when a person truly responds to the gospel and to our Lord Jesus Christ because their life will reflect a stepping away from all sinful behavior and a choosing of Christ-like character for themselves.

God has His time for everything and there are many people who find themselves either offended by His long-suffering or dismissive of His current interest in the affairs of man. No matter what period of time a person lives on this earth, God is interested. No matter how far you may think that God is, He is right here. No matter how bad you think others are or how bad you think that this world has become, salvation is available and you can be sure that the Son of God is working hard every day to bring about revival and the saving of souls.

Don’t be quick to judge another and don’t forget how precious your time here is. Do not neglect a day in your life by being lazy in your faith. You are being tested and tried and it is up to you to choose to seek those things above and not those things of this earth.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:10 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

The apostle Peter knew who Jesus was, witnessed miracles and learned about salvation at the foot of Jesus Christ.  Even so, Peter backslid repeatedly throughout the time of his learning, and even after Christ was crucified.  It was a struggle for him, and it is a struggle for people today when the Word of God isn’t taught.  We don’t know what the other person is going through or what has happened in their life that has caused them to side step or avoid salvation.  Assuredly, God wants us all.  God is merciful, compassionate and forgiving.  In our journey to Him, we need to learn to become Christ-like, to turn away from our impatience toward others who aren’t like us in our faith or how we think they should be.  Pastor John Collins preaches from the heart that it doesn’t matter what anyone has done, there is room for improvement, even when we call ourselves Christian….as the saying goes, “please be patient, God’s not finished with me yet.”

Pastor John Collins preaches weekly on Sunday mornings at 1000 am Mountain Time on Heaven’s Country Radio with Marty Smith.  You can hear Pastor John Collins by clicking on www.heavenscountry.com.  Recordings, interviews, sermons, blogs, YouTube recordings and other media by Pastor John Collins can be accessed by clicking on the links found within this post.  Pastor John Collins can also be reached for prayer, ministry, and other topics through his personal email at jc65777@yahoo.com.  Pastor Collins is also available to guest preach or speak to your group and can be contacted through his personal email.  Pastor John Collins says it plainly he is in it to win it for God.

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS DAILY THOUGHT: NAME IT CLAIM IT, A VERSION OF PROSPERITY DOCTRINE

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST:  THE FALSE DOCTRINE OF "NAME IT CLAIM IT"

taken from Google images

One of these days, we are going to have to come eye to eye with God and He is going to ask what did we do with the Grace that He gave us in the salvation provided by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  This is no fairy tale, this is not a bed time story, it is not a myth created to threaten children into behaving.  This is truth, this is our souls and our eternal life at stake.  Pastor John Collins of Love That Cross Ministries is up front and puts it right out there when he preaches from the heart and calls out the dilution of the Gospel when it’s presented in prosperity doctrine or other forms of false doctrines.  One of these false doctrines is the fad of “Name it Claim it”.  Faith is not a fad.  Salvation is not a fad.  God and Jesus are not fads, They have been around since the beginning of time, the Holy Bible says so.

“Name it Claim it” is promoted by the likes of Joyce Meyer, Paula White, Joel Osteen, T. D. Jakes, Creflo Dollar and others, and is another false doctrine of prosperity doctrine.  If you can visualize something and call it out loud to God, He will provide you with what you ask for.  God is not in the business of giving us what we want, He is in the business of saving souls.  God demands humility.  For us to demand of God what we want will earn us a ticket to someplace we don’t want to be, and we are not going to be able to explain it away when we do meet Him face to face one day.  People don’t even recognize that what they are doing is actually offensive to God because they don’t know the truth of the Gospel and they don’t know the Holy Bible.

“There are many Christians that see no harm in a visualization board, affirmation clippings and scrapbooks of hopes that are created, kept and prayed over. What is wrong with picturing a better life for yourself, creating a visual focal point so that you can put out into the world your hopes and dreams and create for yourself the life that you desire? Many believe that you can state your claims out loud to God and He will answer your heart’s desire. That is your will, not His. As much grace as God is willing to provide, He is not in the business of granting wishes like some genie in the sky.” Pastor John Collins (March, 2018).

Pastor John Collins, evangelist, is the head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries and John Collins Ministries.  For the past decade, Pastor John Collins has been bringing God back to churches across the country, most recently through a true revival of faith and hope.  The Gospel has been so watered down that it seems that it is being fed like Koolaid to those who thirst for some kind of taste of God that will make them feel good.  Pastor John Collins is redeeming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, preaching the truth of the Word of God and His Son, Jesus Christ.  What is being preached from the pulpits in so many churches and other media venues is a feel-good, what people want to hear, not the truth that Jesus came to teach us over 2000 years ago, and the sacrifice of His human life is not even taught to congregations across this country.  Pastor John Collins preaches the truth of the Gospel with vigor and enthusiasm, he does not write what he preaches:  Pastor John Collins preaches from the heart.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:24-25 (NKJV).

Name it and claim it! There are many churches out there that have been peddling the law of attraction for some time now. There are many Christians that see no harm in a visualization board, affirmation clippings and scrapbooks of hopes that are created, kept and prayed over. What is wrong with picturing a better life for yourself, creating a visual focal point so that you can put out into the world your hopes and dreams and create for yourself the life that you desire? Many believe that you can state your claims out loud to God and He will answer your heart’s desire. That is your will, not His. As much grace as God is willing to provide, He is not in the business of granting wishes like some genie in the sky.

The challenge of being a true Christian in this life is to deny the passions of your flesh. That is what you fight against. Your flesh wants nice things, joy and happiness above all and most of all it wants validation for your importance and existence. People want success and recognition for their efforts and they want the paycheck that goes along with it. There are many that say to live your life to the fullest, claim your reward, allow God to do more for you than you realize was possible. God is in the business of saving souls, not making your dreams come true. God desires humility and not pride of life. People want to try this and that to make their lives better but do not even see when those things are anti-biblical because people don’t know the word of God.

This name it and claim it nonsense is of the new age church. There are many churches today that are introducing and blending pagan ideas and activities into their church, whether they realize it or not, which are contrary to true faith and genuine worship of the Father and the Son. Be careful of the influences that you allow into your life, your church and especially your home. Many Christians don’t know about the occult and those practices which makes it hard to rebuke when it enters your life and there are many of these that seem harmless enough but in reality all they do is undermine your beliefs. God has been fighting the evil practices since the beginning and many cannot see that it is nothing new but it is just updated and repackaged for this generation. Paganism and idolatry is an abomination to the Lord and you must be cautious and aware in what you allow to have influence over you. Hold tight to the doctrine of truth and let humility rule your life.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22 (NKJV).
