The Holy Bible was written for you and for me. It is a collection of writings from many different men that was inspired by God for our benefit. Jesus came to fulfill what has been written and there is yet more to come as well. The purpose and the point of knowing what has been written is not only to be aware of the signs and the things to come, but to learn from what has been and to know how to conduct ourselves now.

Our lives are meant to honor God, our Creator and our Lord Jesus Christ. The work that was done at Calvary does not negate the responsibility that we must take for the choices we make in life. We are required to act on our faith and we need to know just what is acceptable to God and what is not. It is written in the bible. 

How much effort do you put forth to know the word of God? How much time have you devoted in your life to coming to know what treasures lie within those pages? The stories and the examples that are there are for us to learn from, to gain insight and wisdom and encouragement to carry on.

Let your choices in life reflect a heart that is devoted to Christ. Let your efforts include that good book. Let your days be full interest in the knowledge of God. Let your heart belong to God and let your will submit to His. Come to know His word and value its content because your eternal soul depends upon it. Take the time to open your bibles and reap what you sow.
